General Electric and Xignux, a Mexico-based private company, announces their joint venture as they change their identity to Prolec GE. The joint venture will allow more capacity to manufacture three-phase pad-mount transformers in the U.S. for its renewable energy and industrial customers by expanding and adding a production line to the company’s 500,000 square foot facility in Shreveport, Louisiana.
